When choosing the length, consider the material thickness of all parts:
When choosing an M6 slot nut with 16 mm thread length, screw, and washer, for example, 5.4 mm of usable thread length remains for the material to be fastened:
16 mm thread - 3 mm C-rail - 6 mm nut - 1.6 mm washer = 5.4 mm
