What does Pachamama Vans stand for?
Pachamama is a central figure in indigenous Andean traditions, particularly in present-day parts of Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Northern Argentina.
The term comes from the Quechua language: "Pacha" means world, earth, cosmos, space, and time, depending on the context, and "Mama" means mother.
Pachamama is therefore often translated as "Mother Earth," but its meaning is more comprehensive: she embodies the living connection between nature, fertility, time, cycles, and the balance between humans and the environment.
For many indigenous communities, Pachamama is not an abstract symbol but a living being with whom people have a relationship. Traditionally, it is believed that she bestows harvests, offers protection, but can also cause natural disasters or crop failures if the balance is disturbed.
To protect our environment and enable future generations to live as healthy a life as possible, sustainable and resource-saving practices are essential, including when traveling with our campers.
