1. HPBC cells – more energy per module area
At the core of the black tiger PRO modules are HPBC (Hybrid Passivated Back Contact) solar cells.
With this cell architecture, all electrical contacts are located on the back of the solar cell. As a result, there is no shading on the front from conductor tracks – the entire cell surface is available for energy generation.
This design enables very high efficiency levels and a particularly high energy yield per module area – a decisive advantage on the limited roof spaces of campers and vans.
2. Up to 26% cell efficiency
The high-performance cells used in the black tiger PRO modules achieve cell efficiencies of up to 26%.
This means: more electricity from the same module area.
Especially on camper roofs where there is only limited space for solar modules, high efficiency enables significantly better use of the available area.
3. Optimized temperature behavior
High temperatures reduce the performance of solar modules. Particularly on vehicle roofs, temperatures can become very high in summer.
In black tiger PRO modules, this temperature behavior is optimized, resulting in a demonstrable difference in solar yield during summer temperatures. The white backsheet also reflects heat better than completely black module backs can, which is why this series does without the ULTRAblack look.
As temperatures rise, you can see which module performs best. If you want to get maximum power in summer temperatures, black tiger PRO modules are the right choice.
4. Maximum roof area utilization & minimal susceptibility to defects
Like all tigerexped solar modules, the black tiger PRO panels are specifically designed for use on vehicles.
They are available in various module formats so that roof areas with roof windows, fans, or other attachments can be used as efficiently as possible. The modules are kept deliberately compact to make them less susceptible to micro-cracks caused by vibration and impacts during travel.
5. Good performance even with partial shading
Shading often cannot be completely avoided – whether it is caused by attachments on the camper such as roof windows, fans, roof racks, or antennas, or by surrounding trees or buildings: at least individual areas are often shaded at times. In such cases, the performance of a module often collapses completely.
The black tiger PRO modules have several integrated bypass diodes for this scenario. These ensure that shaded cell areas are electrically bypassed and that the unshaded areas continue to work.
This makes a decisive contribution to keeping the actual energy yield of the solar system high in everyday use.
