Security Star Knob

With the safety star knobs, you secure the equipment on your vehicle against unauthorized access.

The shape of the slotted hole makes it difficult for foreign objects to penetrate.

Without a key, they can be tightened but not loosened. Only with the key inserted does the handle engage with the thread and allow unscrewing.

The key can be folded down so that loosening or tightening is less hindered when the key is inserted.

The safety star knob can also be used outdoors.

Available for M6, M8 and M10 threads.

Perfect in combination with our M6 channel nuts and M8 channel nuts. For the Recovery Boards Mount on our Cali Side Rack we use the M10 version.

Function Description

• With the key inserted (no turning required), the normal function of a star knob (clamping / loosening) is given.
• Without the key inserted, the star knob can only be clamped, meaning only a clockwise rotation is possible. When turning counter-clockwise (loosening), a detent mechanism interrupts the connection between the handle body and the threaded bush.
