Security Star Knob

Use these safety star knobs to secure the equipment on your vehicle against unauthorized access.

The shape of the key slot makes it difficult for foreign objects to enter.

Without a key, they can be tightened but not loosened. Only when the key is inserted does the handle engage with the thread, allowing it to be unscrewed.

The key can be folded down so that it does not obstruct tightening or loosening while inserted.

The safety star knob can also be used outdoors.

Available for M6, M8, and M10 threads.

Perfect for use in combination with our M6 T-nuts and M8 T-nuts. For the recovery boards mount on our Cali Side Rack, we use the M10 version.

Functional description

• With the key inserted (no turning required), the standard function of a star knob (tightening/loosening) is enabled.
• Without the key inserted, the star knob can only be used to tighten; only clockwise rotation is possible. When turned counter-clockwise (to loosen), a ratchet mechanism disconnects the knob body from the threaded bushing.
