Mechanical filtration of particles

The fine pores of the filter pad retain all particles larger than 0.04 mm from the water. For comparison: the diameter of a human hair is about 0.08 mm, making it twice as large.

Very small impurities such as sand grains, rust particles, or microplastics are effectively filtered out of the water. This ensures that the water entering your system is free of disruptive and potentially harmful particles. This not only improves water quality, but also facilitates regular tank cleaning and extends the lifespan of your devices.

Visible effect

Depending on the quality of the incoming water, different amounts of particles can accumulate on the filter pad. If the water contains a lot of coarse sediment such as sand or pipe deposits, the pad can be cleaned of the coarse residues with a brush. However, if the flow rate is significantly restricted and cannot be restored even with manual cleaning, it is necessary to replace the pad.
